Buddy Gray Bray Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 5, 2024, at the age of 80, Buddy Gray Bray of Troutman, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Mattie Nance Bray; his wife Brenda Shorts Bray; and his siblings, Larry Bray and Dorry Honeycutt. He is survived by: his children, Justin Bray (Kristy) of Hamptonville and Andrea Bray Scales (Toby) of Troutman; his stepson Michael Therrien of Palm Springs, California; his grandchildren, Caylen and Chase Scales; his siblings, William Bray, David Bray and Fairy Brast (Lester); and his pets, Mila, Cullen, Chloe and Carlos. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home (705 Davie Ave, Statesville, NC 28677). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home Chapel (705 Davie Ave, Statesville, NC 28677).

Donations in Buddy's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, or to Shady Grove Baptist Church in Boonville.
