It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ben Mayfield (Troutman, North Carolina), born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on April 27, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Grogan Mayfield and Lois Brown Mayfield; and his wife Helen Harris Mayfield. He is survived by: his children, Melton Gordon Mayfield (Joanie) of Lancaster, SC, Brenda Mayfield Morrow (Rick) of Troutman and David Harris Mayfield (Angie) of Mooresville; his grandchildren, Ray Mayfield, Krista Lanning, Chad Morrow, Chasney Morrow Diem, Charles Morrow, Spencer Mayfield and Ben Mayfield; his sisters, Betty Brawley (Bobby) and Carole Garrison (GW); and also Chasney Morrow Diem. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
