It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Blackwelder (Troutman, North Carolina), born in San Pedro, California, who passed away on August 10, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Grady Elmore and Alice Turman Elmore; her husband Robert Rhyne Blackwelder; and her siblings, Wanda Whitlow, Vernell Lipe and Gary Elmore.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Utsman (Percy), Becky Benfield and Robin Crawford (Wayne); her great grandchildren, Chloe, Chandler, Ashton Mayes, Kyla, Andrew, Lily, Henry, Abigail, Bethany, William, Hannah Parks, Sloan, Audrey, Barrett Benfield, Briar Benfield and Tyler Willis; her siblings, Patsy Elmore Howard (John) and Ron Elmore (Jane); her sister-in-law Wanda Blackwelder; and her close friends, Floyd Owenby and Bonnie Coleman. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
