It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Bess in Trinity, North Carolina, who passed away on March 13, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddie Lee Gilbert and Bunola Reep Gilbert; and her sister Katie Russell. She is survived by: her husband Harrel Jean Bess; her son Gene Bess of Vale; her siblings, Tony Gilbert of Vale, Richard Gilbert of Vale and Nancy Gantt of Lincolnton; and her grandsons, Radley Bess (Jaclynn) of Lincolnton and Bartley Bess (Krystle) of Vale. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
