He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfred Wood Nichols and Dorothy Burkhart Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Nina; his children, Kristain Coffey (Richard) of Kernersville, NC, Karmen Skeen (Steve) of Trinity, NC and Kurt Nichols of Mooresville, NC; his grandchildren, Chandler Starr, Courtland Starr of Kernersville, NC, Grayson Nichols and Lauren Nichols of Mooresville, NC; and his siblings, Brenda Shoaf (Larry) of Virginia Beach, VA, Judy Booker (Herman) of Lexington, NC and Jeff Nichols (Trisha) of Lexington, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
