He was predeceased by: his parents, Brown Basinger and Ivy Basinger; his wife Hildred Weatherman Basinger; his siblings, Lucille Smith, Ethel Weant and Herman Basinger; his cousin George Basinger; and also Christy Yoe.
He is survived by: his close friend Aliene Cauble McCombs; his great-niece Martie Buurkett (Mike); and also, Sharon McCombs Deal (Bo), Peggy McCombs Artz (Danny), Steven Yates (Jessica), Dustin Artz (Audrey), Eleanor, Haley Shaffer (Craig), Rick and Linda Yost. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew; his good friends.
