He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Richard Hartmann, Sr. and Frances Ann Gwyn Hartmann; his wife Jenette Rorex Hartmann; and his brother Byron Hayden Hartmann. He is survived by: his daughters, Janet Hartmann (Eric Gleason) of Greensboro and Jennifer Hartmann of Trinity; his siblings, Ann Hartmann-Smith (Sumpter) and Donald Conrad Hartmann (Andrew); and his grandchildren, Julius Smith, Jeremy Smith, Jillian Maxey, Dorian Clay Webster, Julia Maxey, Tessa Webster and Jackson Maxey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the wildlife foundation of the donor or hunters choice.
