He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Claud" Maltba and Margaretta Hopkins Trusdale; and his siblings, Melvin Maltba and Margie Maltba Bumgarner. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Louise Baird Maltba; his children, Evan Ray Maltba of Conover, NC, Doran Carrol Maltba (Melissa) of Pfafftown, NC, James Baxter Maltba (Kimberly) of China Grove, NC, Renata Lynn Maltba of Port Charlotte, FL and Philip Maltba (Dorian) of Taylorsville, NC; and his brother Bill Maltba (June) of Hudson, NC.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
