It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Sumner (Trinity, North Carolina), born in High Point, North Carolina, who passed away on December 26, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernie Eugene and Marian Snider Hayworth; and her former husband Von Sumner. She is survived by: her husband Joe Davis; her children, Vonda Hollingsworth (Mark) of Sophia and David Sumner of Trinity; her stepdaughter Kimberly Davis of Knoxville, TN; her grandchildren, Kali Hollingsworth, Kyle Hollingsworth, Kolby Anne Hollingsworth, Charlie Sumner (Bethany), Jasper Sumner and Hannah Sumner; her stepgrandchildren, Jeremy Davis and Dakota Davis; her sister Betty Hayworth of High Point; and her siblings-in-law, Carolyn Hedrick (Bill) and George Sumner (Lois). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
