He is survived by: his significant other Peggy J Kearns of Trinity; his daughter Cheryl Steed (Troy) of Trinity, NC; his granddaughter Aerin (Dylan) of Charlotte, NC; his siblings, Arthur "Pop" Gray (Carol) of Columbus, OH and Amy (Larry); his cousin Barry Gray (Kim) of Archdale, NC; and his friends, Roxie and Guinness. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives.

Memorials may be made in Don's honor to his home church New Hope Community Fellowship in Archdale, NC.
