She was predeceased by: her parents, David Alton and Mamie Lee Gallimore Surratt; her husband George Wood Sumner; and her sister Helen Snider. She is survived by: her son Brian Hyde; her stepchildren, Riley Sumner, Dee Branning (Ricky Fleming), Lee Hartsell (Bruce) and Greg Sumner; her siblings, Jerry Surratt (Teresa) and Kay Hoover (Kenneth); and her grandchildren, Randall Hartsell, Jessica Goodwin, Shandall Younts (Chris) and Daniel Hartsell. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
