He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leon Cook and Faye Marie Randall Cook; his sons, Randy Alan Coffey and Shane Alexander Cook; his grandson Ryder; his great grandchild Luke; and his siblings, Patricia, Carolyn and Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Cook; his daughter Terri Cook Hoke (Robert) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Kristin, Leslie, Trinity, Cheyenne, Ariana, Ada Marie, Bradley, Ethan and Parker; his sister Judy Cole of Granite Falls; his brother-in-law Dana Turner of Charlotte; his nephews, Robert Gibson and Jerry Cole; and his goddaughters, Noelle Heaslet and Yvette Smith.
