He is survived by: his parent Nevada R. Thompson; his wife Shelby French Thompson; his children, Sherry Bolen (Benny) of Sophia and Donald Thompson (Bonnie) of Sophia; his grandchildren, Eric Payne (Katherine), Jeremy Payne, Lynn Clarr (Justin) and Baylee Thompson; his great grandchildren, Jacob Payne and Jeremiah Payne; and his sisters, Silver Lee Failu, Lois Locklear, Catherine Strickland, Marie Brooks and Peggy Spurlin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
