He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Taft Welborn and Priscilla Grace Harrison Welborn; and his siblings, Margie Poole, Betty Jean Gerringer, Debbie Price, Bob Welborn, Arthur Ray Welborn and Austin Welborn.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Murchison Welborn; his daughter Stephanie Welborn Kersey (Ken) of Sophia; his grandsons, Adam Kersey of Hickory and Andrew Kersey of Trinity; and his siblings, Max (Elizabeth) of Cedar Square and Nancy Walker (Dwight) of Trinity.
