He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Monroe and Sally Ethridge Flynn. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Wilson Flynn; his children, Jimmy Stephen "Steve" Flynn of High Point, Leslie Ivan Flynn of Kernersville and Charlotte April Flynn of Kernersville; his stepdaughter Mona Duncan (Rhett) of Asheboro; and his siblings, Don Wayne Delk (Debbie) of Trinity, Mary Flynn of High Point, Bonnie Flynn of High Point, Betty Rierson of High Point and Frankie Brown of High Point. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
