It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Imogene Lewis Elam in Trinity, North Carolina, born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who passed away on May 4, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Richard A. Elam; and her grandson Bryan Poindexter. She is survived by: her daughters, Glenna Poindexter (Gene) and Donna Poteat (late Lew); her grandchildren, Ashley Poteat Pagliughi (Scott Crawford), Steven Poteat (Jessica) and Brad Poindexter (Carla); her great grandchildren, Coy, Madeline, Ashton Pagliughi, Meredith, Jacob Poindexter, Mia, Monica Wolfe and Wyatt Poteat; and her siblings, Pat Lewis Boone (Skeet) of Tuscaloosa, J. A. Lewis, Wallace Wade Lewis and Ruth Harris. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made in memory of Imogene Elam to the Janice Lawson Long and Brian Andrew Long Memorial Fund for Cancer Research.
