Hortense Sykes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hortense Sykes of Trinity, North Carolina, who passed away on October 1, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Clay Sykes; and her siblings, Florence Matthews, Jewel Watson, Ann Boyles, Jay Allred, Allen Allred and Lawrence Allred.
She is survived by: her sons, Danny Sykes (Patsy) of Mt. Carmel and Garry Sykes (Deborah) of Trinity; her granddaughters, Nora Sykes (Brad), Elizabeth Dunn (Jon) and Melinda Greene (Travis); and her brother Hansel Allred of Trinity. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
