She was predeceased by: her parents, Larry B. Hedrick and Eva Throckmorton Hedrick; her husband Thomas J. McCarter; her brothers, Wade Hedrick, Earl Hedrick, Roy Hedrick and Jimmy Hedrick; and her close friend William Hilliard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Terri M. Yates (Gary) of Trinity, Cindy M. Roseberry (Dennis) of Thomasville and Eva M. Mathis (Larry) of High Point; her brothers, Junior (Larry), Ernest Hedrick (Dee) of Archdale, Roger Hedrick of High Point and Johnny Hedrick (Gail) of Lexington; her grandchildren, Joshua Yates (Kate), Courtney Haire (Ted) and Zachary Mosijowsky (Hannah); her great grandchildren, Adaline Yates, Sophie Yates, Hannah Haire, Grayson Haire and Harper Mosijowsky; and her pet Peanut.
