He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Franklin Smith and Mary Parks Smith. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Sappington Smith; his sons, Ryan Smith of Trinity and Aaron Smith of Trinity; his siblings, Keith Smith (Cheryl) of Lexington and Patricia Corry (Don) of Lexington; his siblings-in-law, Larry Sappington (Heather) of Liberty, Jerry Sappington of Liberty, Terry Sappington of Elkhart, IN and Beverly Sappington; and his grandchildren, Gitana Smith, Brianna Smith and Aurora Smith. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other extended family.
