She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Huie and Mamie Huie; her husband Edward Hatcher; and her daughter Lori Easter Harrington. She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Cooper of Germanton and Karen Holt (Monty) of Winston-Salem; her granddaughter Angie McCoy (Kevin); her great grandchild Olivia McCoy; her siblings, Fred Huie and Rosalee Barnette; and her niece Wanda Warden.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
