He was predeceased by: his parents, McKethan Herring and Billie Jane Barlow Herring; and his wife Teresa Jill Herring. He is survived by: his children, April H. Grant (Travis) of Archdale, Rusty Herring (Tammy) of Trinity and Christy Murrell of Fayetteville; his grandchildren, Brook Herring, Tess Herring, Katie Herring, Joshua Herring and Jayden Herring; and his sisters, Jane Brown (Bill) of Winston-Salem, Jean Hudson (Wayne) of Oxford, Sally Bradley (Ricky) of Thomasville and Joy McCall (Steve) of High Point. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
