He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Walker and Wilner Hart Walker; his former wife Doris Walker; and his siblings, Virginia, Drewy, Billy, Cheryl and Gary.
He is survived by: his son David Walker (Sally) of Winston-Salem; his wife Rita Sides-Walker; his stepchildren, Michael Sides (Dawn) and Michelle Hailey (Ron); his stepgrandchildren, Caleb, Hannah, Abigail, Timothy Sides and Devan Hailey; and his siblings, Charles Walker (Peggy), W. M. Walker and Janice Jarrett (Robert).
