He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rayvon Oakley, Sr. and Mary Doris Younts Oakley; and his great grandchild Alexis Loflin. He is survived by: his wife Lavonne Beshears Oakley; his sons, Jeffrey Oakley (Patti) of Wilmington and William "Dale" Oakley (Lynn) of Badin Lake; his sisters, Gwynn Lanier (Ron) of Archdale and Donna Jean Johnson (Chuck) of Trinity; his grandchildren, Shane Oakley, Darren Oakley, Holli Hodges and Brandi Oakley; and his great grandchildren, Dylan Hodges, Jacob Hodges, Jada Cole, Cai Oakley, Max Oakley, Heidi Oakley, Edan Oakley and Piper Oakley.
