Barbara Jean Summit Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Jean Summit of Trinity, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 26, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Sink and Lois Batten Sink; her husband Floyd Summit; her siblings, Fairy Etta Beck (Pat) and Thomas Sink; and her sons-in-law, Ron Gearren and Doug Price.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shela Gearren and Donna Price; her sister Sandra Lyon; her grandchildren, Chris Gearren (Nicole), Michael Gearren (Kelly) and Kevin Price (Amanda); and her great grandchildren, Owen, Drew, Grier, Briella and Kaylee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Holly Hill Memorial Park (401 W Holly Hill Rd, Thomasville, NC 27360).
