It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susie Coy of Trenton, North Carolina, born in Kinston, North Carolina, who passed away on August 21, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Coombs and Natalie Byrd Coombs; her half-sister Nettie Mae Jeffers; her brothers, Ben A. Coombs and Anthony R. Coombs; and her brother-in-law Jeff Edens.
She is survived by: her husband Charlie Coy; her children, Dennis Carroway (Nikki) of Hubert and Melissa "Tina" Smith (Craig) of Hubert; and her sisters, Edna Edens of Holly Ridge, Carolyn Waege (Rick) of Maysville and Kathy Sutton of Maysville. She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
