She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred McDaniel and Rosaner Hicks McDaniel; her husband Odell Ward Sr; her son Odell Ward Jr.; and her brothers, Archie and William McDaniel.
She is survived by: her children, George Ward Sr (Linda) of Cove City, Van Ward (Marsha), Janice Jarman (Christopher) of Trenton and Julia Murphy (Clyde) of Pollocksville, NC; her siblings, Jessie McDaniel of Trenton and Leslie Jones of Trenton; her sister-in-law Otelia McDaniel of Durham, NC; her aunt Idella McDaniel of Trenton, NC; her children, Fredrica Felton (Keith) of Doha, Thaddeus McDaniel of Long, Donald Fultz, Cathy Richardson, Ingrid Arthur and Julianna Oppong; and her friend Miss Brenda Tyson. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
