She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Odell Ward and Julia Christine Greene; her children, Gidget Smith of Durham, NC and Ramardy Smith of Dallas, TX; and her siblings, Julia Murphy of Pollocksville, NC, Jackie Upchurch of Kinston, NC, George Ward Sr. of Cove City, NC, Van Ward of Trenton, NC and Gregory Mundine of Dover, NC. She was also cherished by six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
