She was predeceased by: her husband William Mills; her parents, Levy Metts and Orpha Metts; her siblings, Jake, Jeff, Jim, Jasper, Joe, Jete, JB, Jeraldine Lee and Jennie Craft; her daughters, Wanda Lairson and Janice Person; her sons-in-law, Lew Person and Jim Lairson; and her grandson Shaun Thomas.

She is survived by: her children, Nina Whaley (Buddy) of Richlands and Billy Mills (Brenda) of Trenton; her grandchildren, Kelly Koonce (Levon) of Colorado Springs, CO, Russ Pate (Renae) of Richlands, Pam Thomas (Jeff) of La Grange, Nikki Eason (Joey) of Newton Grove, Billie Jo Barsanti (Chris) of Greenville, Starkey Mills (Tracie) of Trenton and Donnie Sparkey Mills (Christian) of Chinquapin; and her brother Jack Metts (Carol) of Garner. She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren.
