She is survived by: her husband Henry Hinnant of Trent Woods; her sons, Keith Edwards of Trent Woods and Michael Edwards of Emerald Isle; her brother Johnny Avent of Franklin, Virginia; and her granddaughters, Meghan Edwards of Chapel Hill and Tammy Whitten of Ayden.
