He is survived by: his wife Betty Cheek Hinson; his children, Shirley Campbell (Ernest) of Wilkesboro and Boyd Dewitt Hinson (Tammy) of Traphill; his grandchildren, Michael Hinson (Katy), Karri Adams (Andy) and Matthew Campbell (Barbara); his great grandchildren, Wyatt Hinson, Karsyn Hinson, Campbell Adams, Haedyn Adams, Gibb Adams and Will Campbell; his brother Frank Hinson (Dixie) of Lewisville; and his niece Susan Morris (John).
