It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jarvie John Pruitt of Traphill, North Carolina, who passed away on January 9, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Eugene and Jettie Shaver Pruitt; his son Jarvie Daniel Pruitt; and his siblings, Lawrence Pruitt and Lorene Cockerham.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Prevette Pruitt; his sons, Chris Pruitt (Penny) of Traphill, Tim Prevette (Karen) of Traphill and Keith Hawkins of Hays; his siblings, Gene Pruitt (Renee) of Traphill and Abby Combs (Edsel) of Roaring River; his grandchildren, Kristin Pruitt-Carrigan (Jamison) of Bloomington, Daniel Pruitt of Traphill, Casey Prevette of Traphill, Gretta Prevette of North Wilkesboro, Andrew Prevette (Megan) of Elkton, Virginia and Billy Wayne Hawkins of Rock Hill; and his great grandchildren, Maddix Pruitt of Traphill, Elias Pruitt of Traphill, Chloe Prevette of Roaring River, Brantley Blevins of Roaring River, Logan Hawkins of Rock Hill and Landon Hawkins of Rock Hill. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
