He was predeceased by: his parents, George Glenn and Mary Lee Hampton Parks; his wife Alma Jean Garrett Parks; his son George Darius Moore; his grandson Eric Parker, Jr.; and his siblings, Ella Ruth Parks and Walter Eugene Parks.
He is survived by: his daughter Sandra Parks Gause of North Wilkesboro; his granddaughter LaToya Parker; his siblings, Geralene Parks of North Wilkesboro, Stella Phelts of Philadelphia, PA, Maxine Edwards (James) of Traphill and Lonnie Parks (Sarah) of Wilkesboro; and his sister-in-law Patricia Parks. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
