He was predeceased by: his siblings, Walter, John, Louise, Virginia and Betty.
He is survived by: his friend Jo Anne; his son David Ayers; his pets, Lady and Bandit; his wife Jo Anne; his children, Greg Childress (Joan) of Volborg, Montana and Glinda McGuire (Joe) of Traphill; his grandson Zeffrey Childress of Hendersonville, NC; his brother Bobby of Lewisville, NC.; his caregiver Jonathon Decker; and also Rex Sidden.
