With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carrie Ellen Billings of Traphill, North Carolina, who passed away on December 14, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Charles Lester and Eulala Mae Church Johnson; her husband William "Tyra" Billings Sr.; her sons, Nathan and Keith Billings; her siblings, Evelyn Jolly, Estmae Kanupp, Mabel Kennedy, Opal Shumate, Carol Kennedy, Charles Johnson, Claude Johnson, Noah Johnson and Allen Johnson; and her son-in-law Johnny L. Absher.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Absher of State Road, Tyra Billings Jr. (Donna) of Bridgeville, DE, Terry Billings of Hays and Kelvin Billings (Crystal) of Traphill; her grandchildren, Eric, Shane, Courtney, Christy, Joni, Holly, Katie, Dakota, Logan, Nathan, Alexis, Stephanie, Kaitlyn, Megan, Kelvin II and Devin; her great grandchildren, Joshua, Lucas, Leksa, Donald, Anna, Campbell, Abby, Deklan, Madison, Melanie, Brantley, Waylon, Jenson, Kaydence, Tanner, Ezra, Aria, Keith and Journee; her great great grandchildren, Hayleigh and Mackenzi; her brother Dale Johnson (Betty) of Roanoke, VA; and her brother-in-law Johnny Kennedy of Hays. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
