It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rene Roper of Topton, North Carolina, who passed away on January 9, 2021, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Benalee Day Brooks. She is survived by: her husband Bobby Dale Roper; her children, Carla Horton (Brian) of Andrews, NC, Anna Newton of Andrews, NC, Madison Pressley of Georgia and Bobby Roper, Jr. (Amanda) of Bryson City, NC; her grandmother Nell Day of Robbinsville, NC; her brothers, Jeffrey Brooks of Georgia and Jamie Brooks of Andrews, NC.; and her grandchildren, Dalton Hooper, Paige Hooper, Jarred Horton, Jamison Pressley, Connor Newton, Haven Newton, Jacob Horton and Edward Roper.
Due to the risk of exposure to COVID 19, face coverings and social distancing will be required by those in attendance at the Graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Townson-Smith Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
