He was predeceased by: his parent James Averon Godwin. He is survived by: his parent Esther Crumpler Godwin; his wife Mary G. Godwin; his siblings, James A. Godwin, Jr., Janet G. Edens (Billy); and his nieces and nephews, Mark Godwin, Wade Edens, Danny Dello Buono, Jr., Bridget Oakley, Brittany Hatfield, Cia, Edan, Daniella, Alera and Zara.
