He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Willie Kern Cole and Annie Hasty Cole; his wife Susan Stockbridge Cole; his sons, Calvin (Jane) of Durham, Robert (Trina) of Morganton and William (Cindy) of Raleigh; and his sister Dorothy Cole Whitehurst of Hollywood, FL. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
