It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Edward Heafner of Todd, North Carolina, born in Shelby, North Carolina, who passed away on June 18, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Heafner and Pearl Whittaker Heafner; and his brother Randy Dean Heafner. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Sides Heafner; his children, Brent Heafner of Todd, Trent Heafner (Jessica) and Lisa Collins (Mark) of Rock Hill, SC; and his sister Dianne Horne (Kenneth) of Kure Beach, NC. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; a great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bald Mountain Baptist Church, 1460 Bald Mountain Road, West Jefferson, NC 28694 for support of home and foreign missions.
