He is survived by: his children, Sandy Canter of Boone, Amy Ulery (David) of Vilas, Robert Canter (Christi) of Boone and David Woodring of Boone; his grandchildren, Sabrina Audet of Boone, Lindsay, Sydney Woodring of Boone, Blake Ulery of Vilas, Elisha Canter of Boone and Colin Canter of Boone; his great grandchild Aiden; and his siblings, Jean Dollar (David) of Boone, Reba Curtis (Bob) of Morganton, Phyllis Trivette (Grayson) of Boone, Lucille Honeycutt of Todd, Sharon McCurry (Odell) of Sugar Grove and Earl Canter (Terri) of Todd. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
