He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Wayne and Eva Trivette Houck; his son Steve Houck; and his siblings, Lavonne Swicegood, Rex Houck, Arless Houck and Rev. H. D. Houck.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Houck; his children, Jeremy Houck (Christal) of West Jefferson, Nikki Houck of West Jefferson, Angela Miller (Brian) of West Jefferson and Ashley Houck (Regina) of Deep Gap; his grandchildren, Emma Gambill, Hunter Gambill and Jaxson Dillard; his stepgrandchildren, Logan Houck and Abby Houck; and his siblings, Don Houck (Barbara) of West Jefferson, Mike Houck (Susan) of Fleetwood, David Houck (Susan) of Fleetwood, Barbara Sheets (Frank) of Jefferson, Bernice Prestwood of West Jefferson and Kathy Creps of Laurel Springs. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
