She is survived by: her children, Florinda Morgan (Dennis) of Winston-Salem, NC, Norman L. Speas, Jr. (Anna) of King, NC, Tony Speas of Tobaccoville, NC, Noble Speas (Cynthia) of Winston-Salem, NC, Nicholas Speas (Jini) of Winston-Salem, NC, Bobby Speas (Penny) of Greensboro, NC and Kim Speas (Bonita) of Tobaccoville, NC; and her siblings, Audrey Norwood of Tobaccoville, NC, Rev. Catherine Penn of Bethania, NC, Billy Ray Hickman (Margaret) of Winston-Salem, NC and Gary Kilroy Hickman of Pinnacle, NC. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and 8 great, great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Center Grove AME Zion Church (7001 Zion Church Rd, Tobaccoville, NC 27050). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
