Though William may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alec and Addie Mae Walker Carter; and his wife Ruth Lane Cates Carter. He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Carter and Lisa Regan (Danny); his stepchildren, Felicia Briggs, Triscica White and Johathan Briggs; and his sisters, Katie Clayton and Darlene Clayton (Tony). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Strickland and Jones Memorial Funeral Services (1810 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
