Walter Milton Clayton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Milton Clayton of Timberlake, North Carolina, who passed away on September 4, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Berman Clayton and Ruth Minerva Clayton Clayton; and his siblings-in-law, James "Jimmy" Hawkins and Mary Hawkins Melton. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Hawkins Clayton; his daughters, Donna Clayton Blalock (John Blalock) of Durham and Tracy Clayton Sexton (Keith Sexton) of Roanoke Rapids; his siblings, Jimmy B. Clayton (Betsy) and Patsy C. Brann (Bobby); and his sisters-in-law, Brenda Hawkins Oakley (Cecil), Linda Hawkins Bowes and Doris Gray Hawkins (Bill Nichols). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, the family will not be receiving visitors at the funeral home.
