She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Dunlap and Reba Mae Pennington Dunlap; her brother Stanley Dunlap; and her son-in-law Tim Richardson. She is survived by: her spouse Cebert "John" Shaffer; her daughters, Debbie Richardson of Stokesdale, NC and Shelley Cates of Timberlake, NC; her grandchildren, Andy Richardson (April) of Stokesdale, NC and Jesse Cates (Lalia) of Timberlake, NC; her siblings, Brenda Blackman of Goldsboro, NC and Mike Dunlap of Goldsboro, NC; her sister-in-law Linda Dunlap of Charleston, WV; her nieces, Kathie Dunlap and Kelli Davis of Charleston, WV; and her nephew Mick Dunlap of Charleston, WV..
