She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther D. Knott and Annie Royster Knott; her husband Bernard Gooch Gentry; her siblings, Mac, Cecil, Robert, Don, Sterling, Charles, Bruce, Martin "Bart", Elizabeth K. Murry and Violet K. Whitfield; her grandson Christopher Leland Gentry; and her great grandchild Christopher Blake Gentry.
She is survived by: her son Leland Gooch Gentry (Brenda); her sister Sandra K. Eakes; and her grandson Gregory Mark Gentry.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Helena United Methodist Church (290 Helena Moriah Rd, Timberlake, NC 27583). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
