He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Whicker and Virginia Clark Whicker. He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Livingston of New Bern, Cynthia Stuart of Hillsborough, Sharon Gates of Wilson, Garry Whicker (Sylvia) of Hillsborough and Dennis Whicker (Crystal) of Durham. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Samaritan's Purse NC for Western North Carolina Hurricane Helene disaster relief.
