He was predeceased by: his siblings, Rosie Ammons and Ray Ammons. He is survived by: his parents, Roy Ammons and Eva Inman Ammons; and his grandchildren, Michael Ammons, Brandon Ammons, Blake Evans, Tyler McMullen, Alan Sitton, Matt Sitton, Kimberly, Niki, Kia Ammons, Nikki Rhinehart and Sara Meyer.
