She was predeceased by: her parents, Gurney Marsh and Mallie Helton Marsh; her son Dwayne Queen; and her siblings, Junior Marsh, Delmar Marsh and Peggy Groce.
She is survived by: her husband Larry J. Pierce; her sons, Darryl Queen of Alleghany County and Durand Queen of Yadkin County; her stepchildren, Cecil Pierce of Wilkes County and Lisa Goad of Surry County; and her sisters, Gladys Marsh of Surry County, Gaynelle Marsh of Yadkin County, Shirley Lewis (Danny) of Wilkes County, Reba Sexton of Horry County and Linda Orchard of Yadkin County. She is also survived by two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
