She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Church and Hessie Waters Church. She is survived by: her husband John Byrd; her sons, Ross Byrd of Dobson, Seth Byrd and Misha of Holly Springs, NC; her brother Larry Church of Elkin; and her granddaughter Florence Byrd.
