James Tyre Holbrook Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Tyre Holbrook of Thurmond, North Carolina, who passed away on September 4, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Herman Holbrook and Bessie Lucille Royal Holbrook; his wife Jean Gilley Holbrook; his sister Emagene Holbrook; his daughters, Norma Gene Holbrook and Bonnie Kay Holbrook; his siblings-in-law, Charlie Gambill and Edith Holbrook; and his niece Debra Gambill Adams.
He is survived by: his siblings, John Wiley Holbrook of Thurmond and Mary Lucille Gambill of Elkin; his stepson Toby Eller (Lois) of West Jefferson; and his nieces, Wanda Holbrook Hincher of Thurmond, Kathy Holbrook Poteate (Jeff) of Yadkinville and Karen Gambill Gregory (Dale) of Thurmond.
